Mischa Estate Heritage Chenin Blanc
Aromas of citrus and stone fruit like yellow peach with flavours of pear, green apple and gooseberry.
This Chenin blanc was made from a certified heritage vineyard, planted in 1977 on Kliprug, a farm close to Mischa. Being an old vineyard, the yield is low but the quality is much higher than a young vineyard. The wine was made in a unwooded style to express as much natural fruit flavours as possible and to let the vineyard and fruit do the talking rather than the wood.
Bright and golden in colour with a slight hue of lime in the rim.
Vibrant and fresh aromas of citrus and stone fruit like yellow peach dance around playfully in the glass as one brings the glass to the nose. Rich honey and subtle floral aromas walk hand in hand with the fruit flavours to round out this expressive and alluring wine.
This lightly wooded style of Chenin blanc is fresh and fruity with crisp acidity. Subtle oak notes and nutty flavours are evident and balance out the primary flavours of pear, green apple and gooseberry. The complexity on the palate of this wine is truly exceptional and evolves with each swirl of the glass.
