Paul Cluver is a pioneer in the Elgin region, a cool-climate area at altitude, east of Stellenbosch. This winery was the first to grow grapes in this area that is traditionally known for its apple orchards. Now there are 12 grape growers in the region.
This off-dry Riesling has fresh green apple, apple blossom, beeswax and honey notes on the aroma. The palate has a great balance between the naturally retained residual sugar and the fresh acidity. This is super refreshing and also mouthwatering with zingy tropical and grapefruit flavours, a touch of honey and a mineral freshness. It finishes long and zesty.
Try with Gorgonzola and roasted sweet potato salad with honey dressing. Pan fried prawns with paprika, toasted sesame and yoghurt dressing. Roast pork chops with pomegranate and coriander salsa.
